EYE POPPING BOTTOMS

It’s always nice to see validation that our color trends are right on track. A case in point is the Spring/Summer 2011 line of J Brand’s colored denim.

Saturated “Purple Haze”, “Orange Pop”, “Rave Pink”, “Blue Ribbon”, “Chakra Red”, “Go Green”, sun-shiny “Solstice” and electric mint “Invigorate” are all included in the assortment of hues in the denim line. Bloomingdale’s vice chairman Frank Doroff  is quoted in the NYT article, claiming that the jeans are “flying out the door”. A clear indication that color rules for summer.

The trend doesn’t seem to be coming to an end in the near future, either. J Brand has teamed up with British designer Christopher Kane for an even brighter, neon collection.

But... there are others out there jumping on the band wagon - check out the custom dyed line by The Jean Shop.  So if you can not find your favorite bright, you can always have them custom dyed to that perfect hue.
