Are you a trend-setter or a designer looking for something off the beaten path?
Designer Bob Bland at Brooklyn Royalty is known for the unique treatments she uses with her fabrics and this season is no exception. For the company’s Spring 2009 Collection, Bland utilized Body Faders color-changing fabrics which were debuted at a cutting-edge runway show on the Brooklyn Bridge. The fabric’s unique element is that it changes color when touched or exposed to heat.
“Thermochromatic jerseys are undoubtedly one of the biggest emerging trends,” Bland said, “but at Brooklyn Royalty, we are even more exited about future applications of the Body Faders’ technology on finer woven fabrics like silk charmeuse, organic denim and wool. Definitely look for more interactivity in fabrics from us in future collections.”
So if you want to literally make your mark on clothing this season, check out this color-changing fabric.
